Overwhelmed with daily tasks?
The overwhelming daily task list.
Everything CAN NOT be a priority!
In this age it seems we are all too busy! Feeling that everything is important and has to get done can send you into a overwhelmed and stressful situation. Chose less and get more done.
First thing first. What is most important?
What stands out as needing the most attention? What has top priority over others? These are the top of the list items to concentrate on.
Identify those that are urgent.
What needs immediate attention. Things on the list that needs finished now. Such as deadlines, client meetings, appointments ect. Missing these can have consequences.
Those that take the most effort to complete need time. Find those that will take the most time and tackle them. You can focus your energy to get the longer ones accomplished before handling the shorter tasks.
Things may come up to take you away from your set tasks for the day but ultimately be focused on the tasks you’re committed to completing.
Those least important items that dont get done. Dont worry about it. There is always tomorrow. Then tomorrow they may have moved up that priority list.
It has taken a few years for me to get a balance to work and family. There are only so many minutes in a day to complete what seems to be a never ending task list. I used to get overwhelmed and bogged down and feel like everything demanded my time and energy which I could not give. Now I know I have X amount of time to get things done and if they dont, I do not feel the stress of not having them completed. Once you can learn to prioritize your energy and time the feeling of demand eases up. Dont forget faith and family is #1.
